Welcome to the exam information section of our website. You will find information here about internal and external exams due to take place over the next academic year, as well as information for candidates.
GCSE and level 2 exam dates and timetable
GCSE and level 2 examination season:
6 May – 25 June 2025
- GCSE and level 2 exams: 6 May – 25 June 2025
- Modern languages speaking exams that are scheduled to take place are:
- GCSE French: 28 April – 29 April 2025
- GCSE Spanish: 28 April – 1 May 2025
- Practical exams that are scheduled to take place are:
- GCSE drama: 17 March 2025
- GCSE art: 1 and 6 May 2025
- GCSE textile design: 7 and 9 May 2025
- National contingency dates (all students taking external exams this year must be available on these dates as well as the dates of any timetabled exams):
- Wednesday 11 June (pm) and
- Wednesday 25 June (all day) 2025.
Additional guidance
- Generic timetables are provided on this page. Individual final examination timetables confirming dates, times and locations of each exam and on which any clashes will have been resolved will be issued to students prior to the start of the exam season.
- All students completing external exams will be issued with a statement of entry listing the date of all exams they are expected to be entered for.
- Information on how to appeal and post results services will be available prior to results day.
