Online Safety

Safer Internet Day

Internet Safety Day was Tuesday 7th February. HVC students learnt in Tutor about the importance and risks of not thinking carefully before posting an image or message online. Social media can be used to promote important and powerful messages. It can also be used to cause deliberate harm to others or if used foolishly, it can cause long-term harm to yourself or others without thinking.

Disrespect nobody campaign

The “Disrespect nobody” campaign is designed to support young people in having healthy and safe relationships. It looks at “sexting”, relationship abuse, consent, rape and porn. The campaign attempts to challenge some of the myths teenagers believe and clarifies for young people the law and their rights.
