House pastoral system

Our vertical Tutor system helps to support learning and the nurturing of students into secondary school life and routines. Every Tutor will have only a small group of students from each year group to get to know and is the first point of contact for the full five years they are in College.

The Tutor is central to our system; each Tutor group is attached to one of three Houses led by a Senior House Tutor who will routinely monitor the academic progress of every child through school. We also have Pastoral Officers, who are non-teaching staff, assigned to each House to help support students and ensure they feel happy and safe, to ensure they have excellent attendance, punctuality, and have excellent behaviour at all times.

We hold one Tutor Evening per year group each year. This is a great opportunity to meet with Tutors but should the need arise to contact your child’s tutor at any other time all email addresses are listed.  Please see the slides attached here.
