In each of the last two years over 60% of students gained at least one exam at A/A* grade, showing that we offer a wide range of courses designed to help as many of our students as possible to find something they do well at. In 2016 43% of our students gained 3 or more A/A* grades.

This Summer 59% of the cohort did Triple Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), compared to about 26% nationally in 2015. Many of our students take A Levels in the science when they leave us.

Students who left this Summer had GCSEs in languages as diverse as Mandarin, Latin, Dutch, Turkish and Russian as well as the main languages of French, German and Spanish.

As well as the academic subjects you would expect us to do well in we are particularly proud of the achievements of our students in subjects as diverse as Art, Drama, Music, Photography, Film Studies, Psychology, Textiles, Catering, Resistant Materials, Construction, Engineering and Childcare. These subjects are not covered in detail in performance tables and so are often missed out when schools’ performance is being judged. In all of these subjects our students made more progress than their peers nationally.
