Over 25 years and still going strong!
The legendary Y9 Arcachon trip, which has been running for over 25 years, once again took place during our recent activities week. The trip was ‘blessed’ with record temperatures in France, peaking at 40 degrees and the trip’s ethos of self sufficiency, resilience, team work and acceptance was once again greatly in evidence. The students erect their own tents and cook their own food, activities include a trip to a waterpark, a visit to the town of Arcachon with the customary game of rounders on the beach, sunbathing by the pool and a ready steady cook event, all with the backdrop of the largest sand dune in Europe. The trip brings out the best in students and life long memories are made, just ask previous attendees! Many thanks to all students for a very enjoyable trip and particularly to the staff ‘A’ team for all their hard work. Here’s to the next 25!
